The Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Weekend in One Minute

I may be a West Coast resident now, but I was born and raised in Omaha, NE.

Home to Berkshire Hathaway Inc. headquarters, Omaha is also home to me and I make it a point to return each year to attend the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting with my brother, Brian Cawley.

This year, the trip to Omaha was especially exciting because my brother and I are now fully licensed Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices real estate agents. Brian works out of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties’ Laguna Beach office, and I work out of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties’ Scottsdale office, as well as California Properties’ Beverly Hills office.

My sister, Shannon, also works out of the Beverly Hills office as an agent, and my other sister, Michaela, sells real estate in Cape Town, South Africa. (It’s no secret that our mother Cindy Cawley inspired all of my siblings to get into the real estate business; she has been a top-producing agent based out of Omaha for more than 20 years. Thanks for inspiring us, Mom!)

For each of the years I’ve attended the Annual Shareholders Meeting with my brother, I learn more about the company and its unique corporate culture. However, after the meeting ends each year, my big takeaway is always the same: There is no other organization in the world that has the reputation of Berkshire Hathaway. I understand this concept deeply and as an agent under the new brand, I wear the Cabernet and Cream badge proudly when working with my clients. I realize what this tremendous affiliation means and make it real in every transaction I put together.
