This week my travels found me first in Minneapolis for the Berkshire Hathaway Energy tech review meeting then on Tuesday night through Thursday morning with HomeServices of Nebraska speaking to the leadership team about the West Coast Offense for running a real estate brokerage. I also presented to employees and agents on creating a positive mindset and routine for success.

This week my travels find me in Northern California, in calls and meetings with our teams across the globe. As I write this, I just finished a great meeting in San Francisco with Paula Gold-Nocella, broker and regional partner at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties, and her team. Drysdale Properties, led by Gretchen Pearson, president/owner, is the largest independent and 100% woman-owned Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brokerage in the network. During the meeting at Drysdale Properties, I shared the story of my real estate career and the keys to a successful mindset and routine.

This week my travels found me first in Minneapolis for the HomeServices of America, Inc. Central Region CEO Meeting. I spoke to the group about the West Coast Offense for running a real estate brokerage and we also discussed market updates and challenges, technology initiatives at our organization, the state of mortgage, operational excellence, leadership development, and warranty and legal issues. It was a thoroughly organized and thought-provoking meeting on ways we can advance our brokerage networks forward.

This week my travels first took me to Omaha, NE to attend Explosion 2019, a real estate conference hosted by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ambassador Real Estate and Vince Leisey, CEO of Ambassador Real Estate and conference founder. After Omaha, I traveled to Nashville to attend Harry Norman, REALTORS® 2019 Senior Marketing Consultant (SMC) Retreat and also met with the team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Woodmont Realty.
But before we talk about Nashville, let’s get back to Nebraska … The Explosion conference featured an action-packed agenda with valuable takeaways from industry leaders and top agents in markets across the country. I participated on a panel with top producers as well as a panel for managers about culture, an important component to what makes Ambassador Real Estate thrive.

This week my travels found me at the Tom Ferry Success Summit on Tuesday and Wednesday, and today I’m in Irvine for alignment meetings for our Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and Real Living Real Estate brands.
Each year, Tom Ferry’s Success Summit is an opportunity to converge with top agents for learning, growing and idea-sharing. I’m always inspired during the event by the dedication and discipline exhibited by all those who attend. As Warren Buffett said, “By far the best investment you can make is in yourself.”

This week my travels found me first in San Diego for Buffini & Company’s MasterMind Summit and then back to the Bay Area for Dwight Clark Day during the San Francisco 49ers open training camp. This afternoon, I spent the day with Intero Real Estate Services managers, ironically sharing the West Coast Offense on how to run a real estate company with them.

This week my travels found me in Northern California, visiting two excellent companies that are undergoing leadership changes. The new leaders at both brokerages are vigorous and inspiring, tasked with guiding their firms toward even greater success. Sometimes, new leaders are exactly what an organization needs, even if the present leader is really good. No matter the strength of the current leader, a company may simply need a change. Remember, new eyes see old things in new ways.
This week my travels found me first in Atlanta, where I got to watch Super Bowl LIII with Chris Stuart, CEO of HSF Affiliates. After Atlanta and a victorious Patriots celebration, I flew to Northern California and finally, I reflect on my week from (somewhat) sunny Southern California, where I’m in alignment sessions, film shoots and meetings.

This week my travels found me in New York City, networking with brokers in the Big Apple then taking a day trip to Pennsylvania for a visit with the team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hodrick Realty. I was honored to deliver presentations on three topics: 1. Creating an unstoppable mindset. 2. Building a morning routine and 3. Exercising proper time management. These are three key components to sustainable success. The team at Hodrick Realty is energized for the year ahead, and their enthusiasm and passion to unequivocally succeed reinvigorated my own.
